Family of Faith Lutheran Church

Sensing the will of God early in life, Ed accepted his calling to become a pastor on December 31st, 1970—midway through his senior year of high school. Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biblical languages, Ed went on to complete his studies at Princeton Theological Seminary and Christ Seminary, Seminex.

After his ordination, Pastor Ed received a call in 1979 to serve as associate pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Newton, Jersey. His main responsibilities there were to work with the youth and start a new congregation in Blairstown, New Jersey.

The Lord blessed the work in Blairstown, and the newly established church needed Ed’s full attention within a year. Over the next 10 years, Ed worked with the members of the church to build a new sanctuary and establish a number of important ministries. By the time he left, the church had grown to about 90 members.

Resurrection Lutheran Church in Queens, New  York extended a call to Ed in 1990. After spending 3 years there, he sensed a call to mission work again and accepted the call to serve Family of Faith, a mission plant started 4 years earlier. He has since been at Family of Faith working to establish and grow the congregation.
